Beetroot Smoothie
Cal = +/- 185 (with yoghurt and milk added)
This smoothie is great for energy, weight loss and helps with hypertension.
You need:
- 1 raw beetroot – washed and skinned
- ½ cup of frozen berries
- add cinnamon to flavour
- green tea
- linseed oil
Method:
- Make green tea and let it stand in the fridge overnight
- add ½ cup linseed oil, add the beetroot and berries.
- Mix everything together.
Variation:
- You can also add 175ml yoghurt and/or half of the amount of milk allowed per day
- If you exercise very often: add ¼ frozen banana
