Workplace Wellness Solutions

Employee health and wellness

Workplace wellness with Dr ArienWe assist companies in recognizing the importance and effects of workplace wellness, especially aimed at the chronic diseases of lifestyle, by identifying their impact through measurable return on investment protocols on company wellness interventions.

We advocate the importance of employees learning and understanding that managing and preventing health challenges (diseases) will benefit both themselves and their employer (their livelihood).

There is a recognised need for a broader approach to employee health and wellness, as opposed to the previous focus on HIV/AIDS only. This 2 day seminar/conference encourages an integrated approach to finding sustainable solutions for the chronic diseases of lifestyle in South Africa.

Workplace wellness interventions/programs reach much further than the workplace, of course, extending into the family, the community, ultimately having an effect on the health and wellbeing of the whole country, thereby addressing skills development and social responsibility requirements.

The day will come when nations will be judged not by their military or economic strength, nor by the splendour of the capital cities and public buildings,

but by the wellbeing of their peoples; by their levels of health, nutrition and education

–       UNICEF: Progress of Nations 1999

Prevention, education, wellness solutions: The chronic diseases of lifestyle demand more than treatment. Workplace wellness could be the way to finding lasting and sustainable health and wellness solutions to address the burden of disease in South Africa. Ultimately, however, success will be determined by our focus and intent: stuck on and in, the problem, or aimed at the solutions. Rather than concentrating on what we don’t want, i.e. disease & disability, focus on what we do want, i.e. health and wellbeing.
